Past Events

IIEP brings leading scholars and practitioners of international economic policy to GW to present and discuss their research and insights. These events are organized into:

  • Research conferences, where groups of scholars and policymakers delve deeply into the most important issues of the day. Conferences seek to bring cutting edge and vanguard research work to bear on the overall economic debate.
  • Policy forums, where critical contemporary policy questions and issues are explored and debated. Forums seek to bring insight from top officials here in Washington, DC while also providing perspective from scholars at IIEP and at the GW Department of Economics.
  • Academic seminars, where individual researchers present cutting-edge scholarly work. Seminars include work conducted by the GW Department of Economics and focus on specific areas of studies such as Trade and Development, Regionalism, as well as others.
