Aria. A discussion of a diaspora novel and the concept of deracination
Nassim Assefi, M.D., Global women's health specialist and fiction writer
Nassim Assefi will read from her novel, Aria, and will discuss the diaspora novel and the concept of deracination. Aria explores the return of a modern, deracinated Iranian-American woman to Iran after the death of her only child. Dr. Assefi has committed to donating the majority of her royalties from Aria to non-profit organizations linked to themes in the novel.
