The Elliott School of International Affairs
The Institure for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies

Students

Students have many opportunities to participate in the life of the Institute for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies at the undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels. They may pursue the Master's program in European and Eurasian Studies, take courses as part of the European Union Center in Washington, D.C., of which GW is a part, work as a research assistant to a professor, enroll in the Summer Institute on Conducting Archival Research, be in residence as an undergraduate or graduate Institute Fellow, work as a work-study student at the front desk, or pursue the mid-career certificate program. Students are invited to participate in the regular brown-bag lunches, seminars and conferences at the Institute as well.

Please enjoy our pictures of student life at the Institute!

On March 25th, 2007, Steve Mintz and Kate Hall, students in the Elliott School's M.A. program in European and Eurasian Studies, gave presentations to a group of 27 EU Ambassadors at the German Embassy. The event marked the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, the precursor to today's European Union.
