Greg Domber, who worked with Hope M. Harrison in the GW Cold War history group and completed his Ph.D. in the GW History Department in 2007, has been awarded the 2009 Unterberger Prize for Best Dissertation on U.S. Foreign Policy.? This prize is given by the Society for Historians of American Foreign Policy. Greg's dissertation, "Supporting the Revolution: America, Democracy, and the End of the Cold War in Poland, 1981-1989," was based on extensive archival research. Greg, the recipient of a?Hoffman dissertation fellowship from 2004-5, spent 2007-8 on a post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford, and he is now an Assistant Professor at the University of North Florida.
