Institute for Crisis Disaster and Risk Management (ICDRM)
The EMSE department and ICDRM are located at 1776 G Street NW, Washington D.C., 20052. The building entrance is on 18th Street between F and G Streets. The entrance to the GWU spaces is between the parking garage entrance and the main archway into the 1776 G Street complex. Please check in with the street level receptionist.

Take Interstate 95 to Interstate 395. Look for the Arlington Memorial Bridge exit.
Cross the bridge and bear Left at the Lincoln Memorial. Take Henry Beacon Drive to
Constitution Avenue, making a Right onto Constitution Avenue. Follow Constitution
Avenue until 18th Street, and then turn Left onto 18th Street. Go straight and ICDRM is
on the right hand side between F and G streets.
Take Interstate 95 South to Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) toward Silver
Spring/Northern Virginia. Take Exit 33, heading South on Connecticut Avenue for about 10 miles. Immediately after crossing through Dupont Circle (there will be a large fountain in the middle), turn Right onto N Street, and then turn Left onto 19th Street. Follow 19th Street 10 blocks until you reach F Street. Then take a left on 19th street till 18th street and ICDRM is on the 18th between F and G streets.
From West (Virginia)
Take Interstate 66 or Route 50 to the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge (both connect to it). Note that from the 495 to Theodore Roosevelt Bridge the 66 Eastbound is HOV-2 during the hours of 6:30-9:00 A.M. and the same applies Westbound from 4:00-6:30 P.M. Once you cross the Roosevelt Bridge into Washington, exit Left onto the E Street Expressway at the end of the bridge. The E Street Expressway, becomes E Street. Then turn Left onto 18th Street. Go straight and ICDRM is on the right hand side between F and G streets.
The nearest station on the Orange and Blue Line is Farragut West

between F and G streets.
The nearest station on the Red Line is Farragut North (about 3 - 4 blocks from ICDRM). Head south on Connecticut Avenue NW, continue on 17th street until G Street. Take a right on G Street and then take a left on 18th street. ICDRM is on the left hand side between F and G streets.

Most trains arriving to Washington, DC arrive at Union Station. To get to the ICDRM, either take a taxi or take the Red Line Metro from Union Station to Farragut North. From there, it is about 3 - 4 blocks to the ICDRM.
AIRPORTS PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Purchase a ticket (one-way or round-trip) at the Washington Flyer Coach ticket counter located at Arrivals Door #4 in the Main Terminal. Travelers will also board the Coach from this location. The buses depart approximately every 30 minutes but please listen for announcements for exact bus departure times. Click here for schedule and ticket prices. You may purchase a Metrorail fare card inside the train station at the West Falls Church Metro stop where you will board the train. Trains bound for "New Carrollton" will take you towards Downtown Washington, DC. Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
The public transport between BWI and the Greenbelt metro station is BWI Express Metro bus service. The service provides a direct connection between BWI and the Greenbelt Metro Station. The BWI Express/B30 service runs every 40 minutes, 7 days a week to the Greenbelt Metro Station, which is located on the Green Line of the Washington Metro System. Buses run 25 times each weekday and 21 times on Saturdays and Sunday, every 40 minutes. Switch from Green line to Orange or Blue line towards Virginia at L’enfant Plaza Station and get off the train at Farragut West metro station
Reagan National Airport (DCA)
The Washington, DC Metrorail system has an elevated Metrorail station connected to the concourse level of terminals B and C at Reagan National Airport. Metrorail fare cards may be purchased at machines locates at all entrances to the Airport Metrorail station. The station is also fully accessible via elevators. Get off the blue line train at Farragut West metro station and follow the “Metro Directions” (above) from Farragut West metro station to ICDRM.
