We are also proud to announce that for the sixth consecutive year, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), is providing financial support for the forum series.

Panel Description:

Hurricane Katrina was a cruel auditor of the National Response System that had been developed and implemented in response to 9/11 by the Department of Homeland Security. The White House has issued a report with 125 recommendations for improving our ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from extreme events. House and Senate committees are holding hearings and issuing reports recommending reforms and changes. The faculty of the George Washington University Crisis, Emergency and Risk Management (CERM) graduate program offer their opinions and advice on how best to create a true national emergency management system that will meet our national needs.
