Employees may enroll in education and training programs outside the University. Such opportunities include job-related seminars, workshops, and classes as well as credit programs through the Washington Consortium of Universities. In some cases, departments may pay for these external programs. It is the responsibility of both the department and the supervisor to apply a consistent payment policy for external programs and to communicate the department's payment policy to employees.
