All regular full-time and regular part-time employees accrue
paid sick time. Accrued sick time is credited on the last working day of each month and may not be used prior to accrual. Paid sick time is provided for absences from work due to illness and medical or dental treatment..
Supervisors should be aware that income protection for absences beyond the period of accrued sick time is provided for eligible employees through the university's short-term and long-term disability plans.
