Compensating Employees
In addition to assisting in compliance with federal and local laws and regulations associated with
the compensation and salary administration of the University, this section provides information
about time reporting and payroll conventions.
At the time of hire, transfer, or reclassification, each employee is assigned a job
classification that determines the requirements for time reporting, pay, and overtime pay
computations, if any. All employees are advised of their employment classification at the time
of hire, transfer, or reclassification.
