Users of the Guide

Supervisors -- all University employees who are responsible for administrative supervision of other employees -- are expected to follow the conventions contained in this guide. In addition, supervisors are expected to be familiar with University Policies and follow them. As regular University employees, supervisors are also expected to be knowledgeable about the information and guidance found in the Employee Handbook.

Individuals who supervise employees subject to a collective bargaining agreement should consult the contract. If it is in conflict with this guide, the contract will generally control, but supervisors should contact the Employee Relations Division for assistance.
