Updates
This online guide was launched in January 2005, and contains the latest information as of that date. Appropriate Human Resource departments will review and revise the online Supervisory Guide periodically. Supervisors are encouraged to consult the guide on an ongoing basis.

The Supervisory Guide supersedes:

• The Manual of Personnel Policies for the use of the Supervisory Staff issued in 1987, including modifications and addenda issued since then.
• All statements of human resource policies previously issued in memorandum format.

Any conflicting or inconsistent statements, guidelines, and policies established by individual offices or departments should be reviewed by both that department or office and the appropriate Human Resource department.

In the event of conflict, this guide will control, unless the office or departmental approach has been approved by the appropriate Vice President.

Distribution
The Supervisory Guide will only be available online. Every supervisor has access to either a computer or department kiosk. Please print the guide or individual sections as needed.
