mission statement

Hope Christian Fellowship is an evangelical Christian student fellowship at The George Washington University.  We invite anyone to come and meet Jesus Christ and develop a personal and intimate relationship with Him.  Hope Christian Fellowship reaches out to the multicultural GWU community by initiating and building relationships through the Word, prayer, and fellowship.  Our mission is to provide an atmosphere of encouragement to challenge lives to strive towards excellence as Christians.

Hope Christian Fellowship seeks after the heart of God by worshipping Him and obeying His Will.  Hope Christian Fellowship accepts the Great Commission and engages in the spiritual battle to claim lives for Christ.  While students study to prepare for their future Hope Christian Fellowship hopes to prepare them for their eternal lives in Christ Jesus.  Hope Christian Fellowship desires to build strong witnesses for Jesus Christ and continue to share the Good News wherever their lives may lead them.

 

 

statement of faith

We believe and profess that the following is true:

 

    +  We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

 

    +  We believe in the inerrancy of the Bible and hold it as the Living Word of God given to man.

 

    +  We believe in the deity and miracle of Jesus Christ who is God, came in the form of a man, was born from

         a virgin, lived a blameless life, was crucified on a cross, rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and

         will return to conquer the earth.

 

    +  We believe that Jesus Christ died for the sins of all people, and whoever believes in him is completely forgiven

         and has eternal salvation.

 

    +  We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit who comes to live in all who believe in Jesus Christ who helps and

        empowers them to a transforming life of holiness and righteousness.
