About the Team
Our home port is Jack's Boat House on the Potomac and we sail between the Francis Scott Key Bridge and the Kennedy Center. We have a fleet of five 14' Flying Juniors (FJ's) along with a crash (motor) boat. The team also provides life jackets for all its sailors, as well as personal instruction, if necessary. The team is divided into two sections: the racing squad and the recreational squad. If you want to sail competitively against area schools, or take a more rigorous approach to the addicting sport of sailing then the racing is the right place for you. If you want to relax, unwind and hone your sailing skills in a more casual setting, then the recreational squad is for you. You don't need to go to every practice to be
an active member. If you can come only on Wednesdays and Fridays, great. If you
can only come on Fridays, that's fine too. To be an active sailor with us, all
you need to do is to complete the steps in "
