    End of Semester Hours:

    Through Sunday May 6th: Regular Schedule. Students can make an appointment via the online system.

    Monday May 7-Friday May 11: We will have limited slots during this time. Students can make appointments via the online system.

    Appointments are not required but recommended. Walk-ins welcome!

    For specific writing help as a non-native English speaking student please look into scheduling your appointment at the Language Center

    Distance Learning: Schedule your appointment through the online system and send your paper (at least 24 hours in advance) to gwriter@gwu.edu. Include the name of your tutor, time of your session, and number you will be calling from at the time of your appointment. There are NO distance appointments on Mount Vernon Campus or in Himmelfarb Library.

    Objective

    The GW Writing Center is an open, welcoming, professional environment within which members of the GW community can receive dedicated attention to their writing and research projects.

    The GW Writing Center holds the International Writing Centers Association’s policy on diversity that writing centers “inclusively serve all students, including members of underrepresented groups such as people of color, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, and people with a range of abilities, economic needs, and linguistic expression.”

    Appointment Policy

    You may make appointments of either 25 or 50 minutes. To allow for sessions to have the greatest effect, back-to-back visits are not permitted.
