GW students with non-English backgrounds can get additional help through appointments at the Writing Support Program of The Language Center, in Phillips Hall 210B. Visit The Language Center for more information and to make an appointment.
Distance Learning: Online Education Programs: Students enrolled in online courses and programs can participate in distance consultation appointments that involve a collaborative discussion over the phone, using the written materials as shared Googledoc. Students should e-mail the writing that they wish to discuss at least four hours in advance, to ensure that materials will be available at the start of the session, to firstname.lastname@example.org. Online students with scheduled appointments should call in at the time of their appointment to our main line at 202.994.3765 to be connected with their scheduled consultant. Distance consultation appointments are not available at our Eckles or Himmelfarb satellite locations.

The GW Writing Center is an open, welcoming, professional environment within which members of the GW community can receive dedicated attention to their writing and research projects.
The GW Writing Center holds the International Writing Centers Association's policy on diversity that writing centers "inclusively serve all students, including members of underrepresented groups such as people of color, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, and people with a range of abilities, economic needs, and linguistic expression."
You may make appointments of either 25 or 50 minutes. To allow for sessions to have the greatest effect, back-to-back visits are not permitted.
