GWIPP Associate Director - Garry Young

garryGarry Young is Associate Director of the George Washington Institute of Public Policy at George Washington University. Garry's main area of research centers on the way institutional arrangements interact with interests to yield political and policy outcomes. Currently he is working on a five-nation study of legislative representation and a study of policy production in the U.S. prior to World War II.

Professor Young's work appears or is forthcoming in numerous political science journals including the American Journal of Political Science, the British Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, the Journal of Theoretical Politics, Political Research Quarterly, and Legislative Studies Quarterly. His work has been funded by a number of sources including the National Science Foundation. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from Rice University in 1994.
