It is Sunday, May 17 — Commencement Day at The George Washington University. Our congratulations to the class of 2009 and their families.

The main graduation ceremony will be held Sunday, May 17, at 9: 30 a.m. on the National Mall between 4th and 7th streets, NW, near the Capitol building.

Commencement will be broadcast locally on ABC 7 and Web cast at wjla.com/gwu at 11 a.m.

Shuttle service, including handicapped-accessible buses from campus, will be available on I Street between 21st and 22nd streets. Shuttle buses for all graduates and guests will operate from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
