Statement On CDC Test Results for Two Remaining Probable Cases of H1N1 Influenza
The DC Department of Health has received the results from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the two remaining students that were identified last Wednesday as probable cases of H1N1 influenza. The DC Department of Health has informed the University that CDC testing confirmed that the two students were positive cases of H1N1 influenza. The University previously reported that a total of five GW students diagnosed with influenza were probable cases of H1N1. The CDC last week confirmed three of these students were positive cases. As previously reported last week, none of the five students are currently contagious and all have recovered fully following treatment. There are no other known cases of influenza of any kind on campus. We will continue to provide any additional updates via GW Campus advisories.
