What is GW Alert?

GW Alert is a simple computer application that informs you if there is an imminent threat to the University. The alert scrolls a message across the bottom of your computer screen, directing you to the Campus Advisories website for additional information. GW Alerts is recommended for all GW students, faculty, staff and neighbors.

How does it work?

In Windows, the application sits as a tray icon. If an incident alert is issued, a short alert tone will play and a red crawler moves across the desktop providing you with emergency notification and instructions. Clicking this crawler will provide a link to more information.

In Mac OS X, the application sits as a dock icon. If an incident alert is issued, a short alert tone will play and a red crawler moves across the desktop providing you with emergency notification and instructions. Clicking this crawler will provide a link to more information.

System Requirements: GW ALERT is designed for Windows XP, Vista and 7, as well as Mac OS X 10.5, 10.6.
