Graduate Research Assistants Program
Each year, IPDI invites a select group of students in GW's Graduate School of Political Management to serve as graduate research assistants. IPDI's research assistants work 30 hours a week developing projects and research for IPDI and receive a stipend and one free class per semester. Each research assistant develops his or her own research project, which is published by IPDI, in addition to running one of three program areas at IPDI: events management, tools and applications development, strategic communications, and online community management. Previous research assistants have published research projects, developed publications, and managed IPDI's annual two-day Politics Online Conference.
This program requires a minimum commitment of two semesters. For more information, email IPDI Director Julie Barko Germany at julie (at) ipdi (dot) org.
IPDI Fellows Program
IPDI's Fellows Program brings some of the most respected and trend-setting names in online politics under one virtual roof. During their time at IPDI, Fellows design and lead one major project (a research project, a publication, a scholarly article, tool or application development, symposium development, etc.), blog regularly at www.ipdi.org/blog, and attend IPDI events, lectures, and lunch programs. IPDI Fellows serve for a six month period. Graduate students are invited to apply.
For more information, email IPDI Director Julie Barko Germany at julie (at) ipdi (dot) org.
