Semester in Washington

Semester in Washington (SIW) offers non-George Washington University undergraduate students the opportunity to study applied politics in the heart of American politics -- GW's Graduate School of Political Management in Washington, DC. SIW brings undergraduates (and graduate students interested in a short-term exposure to practical politics) to the nation's capital to study elections, lobbying, and issues management. SIW offers its students academic credit for coursework, top-notch internship opportunities, and close-up exposure to the people who make our national politics work. Offered in the spring and summer semesters, SIW is designed for political science, government, history, American studies, media and communications studies majors, and others who want to build their resumes while adding an exciting new dimension to their academic studies.
