Kindel
President, Rose & Kindel
Maureen Kindel is president of Rose & Kindel. She has been a
government official and civic leader in the Los Angeles area for
27 years. Prior to founding Rose & Kindel, Ms. Kindel was president
of the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works. In that capacity,
she pioneered the contracting out process on major city construction
and professional service awards and is credited with the major expansion
of the city's original minority and women owned business program.
Ms. Kindel was a member of the 1984 Olympic Organizing Executive
Committee and chaired the Olympic Cultural and Fine Arts Advisory
Committee. She was the founding chair of the Board of the Los Angeles
Arts Festival as well as founding board member of the Amateur Athletic
Foundation and the Los Angeles Conservation Corps. She is a founder
and current board member of the International Women's Forum and
the Trusteeship of Los Angeles and has recently been selected as
a director of the International Foundation for Election Systems.
Ms. Kindel is a public director of the Southwest Water Company and
is a member of the Los Angeles Business Council Leadership Advisory
Committee. She is a governor of Town Hall of Los Angeles and a founding
member of the Council of Entrepreneurs at the Anderson School at
UCLA. Ms. Kindel is a board member of the League of Women Voters
of Los Angeles and a member of the International Women's Media Foundation.
