Vice President, Goldman & Sachs
Joe Hall joined Goldman Sachs & Co. as Vice President in September of 2004. Prior to Goldman, he held the interim post of Vice President for Development at The George Washington University, capping an eleven-yeartenure with the institution, and senior roles at the American Red Cross, The Catholic University of America and Georgetown University.
In 2000, Hall and a business partner from The Washington Post Company founded technology firm Acumen Global, Inc., producer of iConfer™, a web-based multi-media application for training and corporate communications. He served as Chairman of Acumen Global until its sale to PADCO in 2004.
Hall has served on a number of corporate and nonprofit boards, chairing the board of Clara Barton FCU, a federally approved post, from 1997 to 2000. He is currently on the board of directors of CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, and the Young Americas Business Trust of the Organization of American States, where he serves as vice-chairman. He is a Governor of the Washington Latin School, and a member of the National Council on American Politics.
An adjunct professor at GW’s Graduate School of Political Management, he teaches graduate courses in nonprofit management. Joe Hall lives in Washington, DC with his wife, Catherine, and four children, Graeme, Christian and Ava.
