Ron Faucheux

President, Faucheux Strategies

RON FAUCHEUX is a political analyst, public affairs strategist, author, lawyer and a former elected official. He is the former editor and publisher of Campaigns & Elections magazine and has served as head of government affairs for the American Institute of Architects and as a U.S. Senate Chief of Staff. Dr. Faucheux has handled 116 political candidate and issue campaigns in 11 states as a media consultant and campaign strategist. He is the author or editor of several popular books including RUNNING FOR OFFICE: The Strategies, Techniques and Messages Modern Political Candidates Need to Win Elections; WINNING ELECTIONS: Political Campaign Management, Strategy & Tactics, and THE DEBATE BOOK; Standards and guidelines for sponsoring political debates. He has trained thousands of political candidates for federal, state and local office across the globe, as well as issue advocates, corporate executives and association leaders. As a media commentator, he writes a nationwide political column, has made over 350 national television appearances, and has anchored his own national cable TV news show. His network appearances have included the News Hour with Jim Lehrer, ABC's Nightline, and Good Morning America, and NBC's The Today Show. As publisher of The Political Oddsmaker, an online elections handicapping service available atwww.campaignline.com, Dr. Faucheux correctly called winners in 98 percent of over 2,600 elections between 1995 and 2005.

Dr. Faucheux teaches courses in "Campaign Management." "Running for Office" and the "History of Presidential Elections" at George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management, and at the Georgetown University Public Policy Institute. Dr. Faucheux was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives at age 25, the youngest member at the time, and was re-elected twice. He also served as the state's Secretary of Commerce.

Dr. Faucheux holds a BSFS degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, a Juris Doctor degree from the Louisiana State University Law Center and a Ph. D. in political science from the University of New Orleans.
