Charles B. Cushman, Jr. (B.S., US Military Academy; Ph.D., University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) is Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Political Management at the George Washington University. He teaches public policy, national security policy, and Congress and defense policy. He is a former Army officer who served as defense advisor to Rep. David Price (NC-04). He has been a lobbyist working to advance peace in the Middle East, and a consultant to the Defense Department, working on force structure, strategy, and space policy, including support work for the Space Commission chaired by former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld in 2000-2001.
