Homeland Security

In the wake of 9/11, many prospective graduate students are searching for career paths that will allow them to serve their country and contribute to national and world security. GW offers many graduate certificates, master's, and doctoral programs that can lead to security-related careers:

Public health and emergency management programs in the Medical Center

National and international security policy programs in the Elliott School of International Affairs

Transportation safety and security programs in the School of Engineering and Applied Science, with emphasis on automobile and airline safety.

Information security programs in the School of Engineering and Applied Science and in the Colombian College of Arts and Sciences, with emphasis on computer and telecommunication system protection.

Crisis, emergency, and risk management programs in Engineering Management.

Forensic Science and Criminal Justice programs in Arts and Sciences (e.g., computer fraud investigation)
