The subject for this print is Albert DeOro, a retired hobo, who had claimed that he had been to, "the edge of everywhere." DeOro, a close friend of Wright's, professed a great love for animals. The artist promised to give the hobo a dog if he held out his hand and pretended to pet one. Out of this moment came the engraving. Signed and numbered by the artist in pencil. Edition of 75. |
