Segars, Whiskey, and Draw Poker. 1997. 20x26.

Segars, Whiskey, and Draw Poker is an imaginary scene somewhere along the Potomac depicting camp life in the long idle weeks before battle. Based on a composite of actual Civil War scenes and Civil war soldiers and, in addition, friends of the artist in authentic costumes, it is intended to be a humorous, anecdotal glimpse of Civil War life.
