The Master of Forensic Sciences non-thesis program
provides an understanding of the integration of forensic science
disciplines with the investigation of criminal activity, along with an
overview of analytical methods, procedures, equipment, and data used by
forensic specialists. Concentrations in forensic molecular biology, toxicology, chemistry and crime scene investigation are
available.
The program leading to the Master of Science in
Forensic Science is offered to help the professional develop an
understanding of the scientific methods used in analyzing evidence and
apply these skills in criminal investigation. It is a research-oriented
thesis program that includes extensive course work in criminal law,
pharmacology, immunology, serology, genetics, toxicology, and
chemistry. Specializations in forensic moleculary biology, chemistry, and
toxicology are available.
