PURPOSE
The Bryce Harlow Foundation
Fellowships are targeted for graduate students (J.D. students
are also eligible) who are studying part-time while working full-time. Students
must express a firm desire to enter the advocacy profession in public affairs, government relations, or lobbying. Generally Bryce Harlow Foundation Fellowship
recipients are studying public policy, political management, legislative affairs, business, or law.
Applicants must clearly indicate the courses and specific focus of their
studies that will lead to a career in advocacy.
AWARD
The awards of $6,000 will help defray tuition and will be paid directly to the
University.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR GW APPLICANTS
Students must apply, and be accepted for admission to a graduate degree program at GW. Current graduate students are eligible.
Applicants must plan to enroll in part-time graduate studies for credit at the University for the fall, spring, or summer semesters of the 2008-09 academic year.
Applicants must demonstrate a substantive interest in, and potential for, an advocacy career in public affairs, government relations or lobbying.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
SELECTION CRITERIA
A Bryce Harlow Foundation Committee will select recipients from applicants
recommended by participating universities. Criteria are:

DEADLINE
All Materials are due to the Office of Graduate Student Assistantships and
Fellowships by 10 April 2009.
NOTIFICATION
2009-2010 applicants whose files are completed by the deadline will be notified of the
Foundation's decision on or before 24 July 2009.
