Fellowships

What are fellowships? National fellowships are competitive awards that provide remarkable experiences and support for students interested in study abroad, graduate study, careers in public service, international affairs, teaching, scientific research, engineering, journalism and a host of other fields. Each year dozens of undergraduates from all GW schools and majors compete for and win Fulbright, Rotary, Truman, Goldwater, Marshall, Boren, Pickering, Teach for America and many other nationally competitive awards. The Center for Undergraduate Fellowships and Research provides information and advice for undergraduates interested in learning about national fellowships that recognize academic and extracurricular excellence. The process of applying for competitive awards can itself provide a welcome opportunity to reflect upon students' own personal and professional aspirations.

Want more information or interested in making an application? Please feel free to schedule an appointment to meet with CUFR staff.
