Types of Jobs in Educational Technology

The Masters Degree program in Educational Technology Leadership (ETL) is an innovative program designed to prepare individuals for leadership roles in improving teaching and learning through the application of educational technologies used in K-12 schools, higher education institutions, corporations, organizations, associations, governments and foundations. Graduates of the Masters Degree are prepared to assume educational technology leadership positions in K-12 schools, higher education institutions, corporations, organizations, associations, government agencies and foundations. Many students apply their knowledge to existing positions they occupy that have responsibilities for education or training and can benefit from the utilization of instructional technologies.

The field of Educational Technology is broad and filled with many different types of jobs. Associated with these employment opportunities are a variety of job titles and descriptions. The chart below is intended to be a sample of what you might find. Qualification for employment in most jobs is based upon an individual's background, experience, and education.

The ETL Graduate Certificates are all subsets of the ETL Masters Degree program. Students may complete only one ETL Graduate Certificate program. Upon successful completion of an ETL Graduate Certificate Program students may apply to the ETL Masters Degree program. Students who are accepted to the ETL Masters Degree program may transfer all six ETL Graduate Certificate courses towards their ETL Masters Degree.
