Career Development

Who hires Elliott School students and alumni?

Our students and alumni are employed in every industry and employment sector within the Washington, DC metro area and throughout the world. The Graduate Student Career Development center conducts a survey of alumni six months after they graduate to learn more about their employment plans.

Over 90 percent of each graduating class completes the survey, which gleans the following information:

  • Survey result summary
  • List of employers
  • Employment status overview
  • Employment by sector
  • Non-profit sector career information
  • Private sector career information
  • Public sector career information

Review the employment surveys.

For more information about a particular graduating class, download the associated survey report (PDF file P D F icon).
