Background:
Professor Rosenau holds a distinguished rank that is reserved for the few scholar- teachers whose recognition in the academic community transcends the usual academic boundaries. He is a renowned international political theorist with a record of publication and professional service that is acknowledged worldwide.

Dr. Rosenau's scholarship has focused on the dynamics of change in world politics and the overlap of domestic and foreign affairs, resulting in more than 40 books and 200 articles. His publications include The Study of World Politics (two volumes, 2006); Globalization, Security, and the Nation State: Paradigms in Transition (edited with Ersel Aydinli, 2005); Distant Proximities: Dynamics Beyond Globalization (2003); Information Technologies and Global Politics: The Changing Scope of Power and Governance (edited with J.P. Singh, 2002); Thinking Theory Thoroughly: Coherent Approaches to an Incoherent World (with Mary Durfee, 2000); Along the Domestic-Foreign Frontier: Exploring Governance in a Turbulent World (1997); and Turbulence in World Politics: A Theory of Change and Continuity (1990).

Dr. Rosenau's most recent book, People Count!: The Networked Individual in World Politics, was published by Paradigm Publishers in October 2007. He also contributed the Preface to the forthcoming Foreign Policy: Theories, Actors, Cases, edited by T.J. Dunne, A.E.A. Hadfield and Steve Smith and published by Rowman and Littlefield.
