Background:
Kimberly Morgan received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Princeton University in 2001. Her research and teaching interests include European politics, comparative social policy, and women and politics. Her publications include "The Politics of Mothers' Employment: France in Comparative Perspective" in World Politics 55, 2 (2003); "Gender and the Welfare State" in Comparative Politics 34, 1 (2001); "Forging the Frontiers Between Church, State and Family: Religious Cleavages and the Origins of Early Childhood Care and Education Politics in France, Sweden and Germany" in Politics and Society 30, 1 (2002). She is currently writing a book on the politics of childcare policy in advanced industrialized states.
