Background:
Professor Jung received his B.A. from Korea University, Seoul, South Korea and his Ph.D. from Cornell University. His research and teaching interests include Korean politics, civil war and post-conflict peacebuilding, comparative democratization and political institutions, social movements and contentious politics. He published an article in European Journal of Political Research and is currently working on a series of articles about the dynamics of political protest and peace and democracy promotion after the end of civil war.
