Elliott School of International School

Ways we can assist you

As competition for quality candidates continues to grow, reaching the appropriate pool of potential employees efficiently is essential. The graduate programs at The Elliott School of International Affairs provide excellent academic and professional training to students to meet the needs of your organization. Let Graduate Student Career Development (GSCD) help you focus your efforts specifically to those you want to reach, whether by functional area, degree or other specific criteria. Contact our office at (202) 994-3788 or at escareer@gwu.edu to learn more about the following opportunities:

On-Campus Presentations and Interviews : Can we arrange an opportunity for your organization to share its vision and goals with a highly qualified group of potential employees? Can we create a schedule for you to conveniently interview job and/or internship candidates in our offices? Our team of career development professionals encourages employers to conduct on-campus presentations and interviews, which are great means to publicize your organization, convey recruiting details, meet our students and help them learn about the variety of positions at your organization. Please contact Lisa Stephenson, Director, at lstephen@gwu.edu to make the necessary arrangements.

Job Postings : Can we assist you in alerting our MA candidates and alumni to full-time employment, internship opportunities or special projects with your organization? Do you need to reach our part-time students or December graduates with an immediate-hire posting? Please e-mail these announcements to escareer@gwu.edu and we will post them for you free of charge on our on-line database. Should you choose to post these positions yourself, please follow the following link to learn about our new web application Elliott School Career Connection.

Resume Collection : Would you like to receive the cover letters and résumés of interested applicants in one packet? The Graduate Student Career Development staff can collect these documents and send them to you electronically or via overnight mail within 48 hours of receiving your job posting and request. This effort, along with the cooperation of students in meeting deadlines, has helped The Elliott School of International Affairs to both increase the number of companies recruiting on-campus and establish new relationships with companies that would not have otherwise recruited here. Please contact Lisa Stephenson, Director, at lstephen@gwu.eduto make the necessary arrangements.

Special Arrangements : Please let us know what your unique requirements and hiring processes might be. We will discuss how we can partner to help you meet your goals.
