Alumni Feature Overview
Elliott School Graduate Student Career Development (GSCD) introduces Elliott School Career Connection (ESCC), an on-line resource for graduate students, alumni, faculty and employers. The Elliott School Career Connection system enables students to easily register personal, academic and work experience information with career development; upload résumés, cover letters and other important documents; search for jobs and internships; and select interview times — all from a single web application.
The main features of Elliott School Career Connection inc lude:
My Profile
The "My Profile" feature enables you to view and edit information regarding your personal, academic, career and work experience. Keeping your contact information current ensures that you will stay informed of activities, events and opportunities available through GSCD.
Alumni/Mentor Connection
Elliott School Career Connection also offers you the chance to interact with current Elliott School graduate students who are interested in talking/meeting with you. You could join the 5,000+ alumni in the system who have agreed to help students expand their knowledge and experiences.
Résumés & Documents
The "Résumés & Documents" feature enables you to manage documents you use to apply for jobs, such as résumés, cover letters and writing samples. You are able to upload documents created in Microsoft Word and save them in your account. Once you upload your documents, you can publish them in online résumés books and send them to employers when you apply to posted jobs. Published résumés can also be searched according to criteria set by employers looking to fill positions.
Job Search
The "Job Search" feature enables you to search for job opportunities made available by employers through GSCD. Once you have found a list of jobs that match the criteria in which you are interested, you can view detailed position descriptions and apply to jobs directly from Elliott School Career Connection.
Job Application/Activity History
The "Job Application/Activity History" feature enables you to see and track information about jobs to which you have applied and to view interview schedules and other events you have registered to attend.
Career Calendar
The "Career Calendar" feature enables you to view upcoming career development events, such as job fairs, résumés deadlines, career panels and scheduled interviews.
