Alumni Notes Amb. Marisa R. Lino, M.A.’72, was recently appointed assistant secretary for international affairs for the Department of Homeland Security. Previously, Amb. Lino was director at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies’ Bologna Center. After earning her M.A. in International Affairs from the Elliott School, where she earned a Scottish Rite Fellowship, Amb. Lino worked for nearly 30 years in the Foreign Service, including appointments in Albania, Iraq, Italy, Pakistan, Peru, and Syria. She was U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Albania from1996 to 1999. |
