A: The admissions process is very competitive. In 2007, the School received 1,950 applications for an entering class of about 350 students. The average GPA for entering students is above a 3.5 (4.0 scale) and the average combined verbal and quantitative GRE score is around 1280. Q: What factors are considered in the selection process? A: Factors considered in the selection process include: cumulative undergraduate GPA, GRE scores, work experience, foreign language proficiency, recommendations, background in micro and macroeconomics, and the statement of purpose. Q: What is the minimum TOEFL score required for admission? A: For international applicants only, a minimum TOEFL score of 600 is required for the paper test, 250 for the computer based test, and 100 for the internet based test. A: Most graduate programs require a foreign language. Programs with foreign language requirements generally require four semesters (or the equivalent) of a modern foreign language prior to admission.
