Internships
An internship provides the opportunity for students to gain professional experience that complements and enhances their academic coursework and professional interests.
The internship program provides Elliott School undergraduates an opportunity to earn academic credit for an internship (IAFF 195 - For Credit), or to have an internship recognized on their academic transcript (IAFF 195 - Zero Credit).
Credit option
In addition to completing the internship, students must complete an academic research paper on a subject relevant to the internship and contemporary international affairs. Students can earn between one and three credits for their research paper, depending on the length of the paper.
Internship for Credit application
Zero-credit option
This option allows students to document an internship on their academic transcript. No extra work is required and no credit is awarded.
