(The capstone course is conducted only during the spring semester). In this project, students analyze a contemporary policy issue involving Asia, drawing on the substantive knowledge, analytical frameworks, and professional skills acquired during their previous course work. The capstone course is policy simulation exercise. In past years, topics have included hypothetical crises in the Taiwan Straits and on the Korean Peninsula. The project includes both group and individual work, and is graded on a pass/fail basis.
