Elliott School of International School

International Travel Resources

In addition to working with the Elliott School and with the host institution, travelers should also consult the following resources:

  • U.S. Department of State International Travel information – provides information to U.S. citizens traveling or living abroad, including travel tips and overseas citizens’ services
  • U.S. Department of State Consular Information Sheets – The Consular Information Program informs the public of conditions abroad that may affect their safety and security. These publications include Consular Information Sheets, Public Announcements, and Travel Warnings.
  • United States Passports Applications – A passport is an internationally recognized travel document that verifies the identity and nationality of the bearer. A valid U.S. passport is required to enter and leave most foreign countries. Only the U.S. Department of State has the authority to grant, issue or verify United States passports.
  • Center for Disease Control (CDC) Travelers' Health Home Page – Health information for specific destinations abroad.
