Internships
Washington, D.C. is much more than the nation’s capital — it is a vibrant, international city where a large international business community, the federal government, non-profit organizations, and international financial institutions such as the World Bank all intersect on important policy issues. Our location in the heart of Washington will provide you with unsurpassed opportunities for career-enhancing internships in the private or public sector. Most of your classes in the International Trade and Investment program will meet in the late afternoon or early evening, so you can pursue daytime employment or internship opportunities. And contacts you make during an internship can lead to full-time employment after graduation.
Agencies and organizations at which Elliott School students have had internships include the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Export/Import Bank, the International Trade Commission, and the Agency for International Development.
