CAMPAIGNING
INFO
- Per
the JEC Charter, "campaigning" is defined as "any unsolicited
distribution of campaign
materials."
- Campaigning
may begin once the registration period ends on Feb.
12 at noon.
- All
campaign materials must be registered with the JEC
for record keeping purposes prior to distribution.
- Postering
rules
- Posters may not go up before postering period begins
on Friday, Feb. 16 at 7 a.m.
- Posters
are not allowed in residence halls except for on
the doors of indvidual rooms
- Posters
may be hung only on the buildings outlined in the
JEC Charter, except on Funger and Duques Halls
- Posters displaying the names of more than one candidate
shall be counted toward the maximum allotment for
each candidate whose name appears on the
poster
- Any poster containing a slate/ticket name shall
be construed to be containing the names of all
candidates affiliated with that slate/ticket.
- Dorm-Storming
- Candidates
must adhere to the Dorm-Storming
Rules issued by RHA.
- Candidates
who want to dorm storm must submit their name and
a name of an authorized agent to RHA (see dorm-storm
rules for contact info) by Monday, Feb. 12 at 5
p.m.
- CANDIDATES
ARE EXPECTED TO KNOW THE RULES AND THE PENALTIES
FOR BREAKING THE RULES PRIOR TO CAMPAIGNING. ALL
RULES CAN BE FOUND IN THE JEC
CHARTER AND THE ADDITIONAL
RULES.
FILING
VIOLATIONS
- Compliaints
must be filed against candidate within two class days
of witnessing the act.
- Complaints
forms must be completely filled out and submitted to
the JEC in person during or slipped under the door
of the office it is closed.
- If
filing a complaint, please provide contact information.
