Doctoral Student Assumes
Research Post at NCAC
E&EM
doctoral candidate Laura E. Verduzco recently assumed a position as Research
Associate with the National Crash Analysis Center (NCAC). Laura’s research
work at the NCAC is centered on an investigation into feasible alternatives
to fossil fuel consumption for the transportation industry. The research focuses
principally on fuel cells, which at the present time represent the only zero
pollution alternative. During her research, Laura is comparing this alternative
with the conventional fuel sources from an environmental and economic point
of view. In addition to assisting the NCAC with this vitally important research,
Laura intends to make it the central focus of her dissertation research effort.
