E&EM Doctoral Graduate Assigned Faculty Position at Colombian University
Dr.
Sergio Botero, one of E&EM's doctoral graduates (2002), was assigned a
faculty position at the Universidad de Nacional de Colombia in Medellin,
Colombia. This is the largest university in the country, and has campuses
in seven cities. He is a professor in the Escuela Ingeniería de
la Organización, (School of Organizations Engineering), which
includes two programs: Engineering Management and Industrial Engineering.
The unit belongs to the Facultad de Minas (Faculty of Mines), which
was founded in 1887 and is one of the oldest and most respectable engineering
schools in the country.
Dr. Botero will be working in the Engineering Management and Industrial Engineering
Programs, in the areas of project management, financing, and energy management.
Additionally, he will work part time with the Institute of Energy, a cross-departmental
entity within the Faculty of Mines, which does research and consulting in
Energy topics.
