Dr. Edwin E. Herricks, eminent Professor of Environmental Biology in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Illinois, addressed a luncheon seminar of the American Society of Engineering Managers at the GW Faculty Club in October 2000. The function was organized by the GW Environmental and Energy Management Program.
Professor Herricks, who is a veteran of
many National Research Council committees and other distinguished appointments,
provided the audience with a compelling view of why professionals have
such a difficult time working across disciplinary lines.
|In addition to his appointment to the
Civil and Environmental Engineering faculty at the University of Illinios,
Professor Herricks also is a Department Affiliate in the Department of
Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences at Illinois. He is engaged
