Faculty Profile
Professor Malik obtained a BA from Bowdoin College and a PhD from the Johns Hopkins University. His primary area of specialization is environmental and natural resource economics; he also has strong interests in public economics and industrial organization. He is a co-editor of the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management. His research to date has focused on environmental policy design, the economics of crime and punishment and, more recently, management of forest fire risk.
