Faculty Profile

ChenMaggie Chen received her PhD in Economics with a specialization in international economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2005. She also holds an MA in economics from the same institution and a BA in economics from Beijing Normal University in China. She also served as a consultant for the Development and Research Group at the World Bank between 2003 and 2004.

Maggie Chen's research has focused on investigating the causes and consequences of regional economic integration and the determinants of foreign direct investment. In addition to the issues in international trade, she has also worked on topics related to patent protection and firms' innovation decisions.
