Public Health Programs
The Public Health Programs unit within the School of Medicine and Health
Sciences works closely with the University's research centers and
institutes, including the
Center for Health Policy Research and the Biostatistics Center. They provide opportunities for
special project research, which is further supported with the Himmelfarb Library's holdings of
over 100,000 volumes and more than 1,500 periodicals. The School's Public Health Programs
unit is an enormous resource for the Institute for Equity and Excellence in Education in the areas
of epidemiology, as well as health promotion and disease prevention in advancing the cause of
school readiness and optimal learning environments.
